1ptMilk
1/2ozGelatine
1 Bay leaf
  Flavouring, vanilla essence ?
1tbSugar, castor

Soak gelatine in milk 1/2 hour, stir over fire till disolved, add a bay leaf, tbsp of fine sugar, pour into a basin and stir until nearly cool and beginning to set, put into a wet mould.

When set serve with stewed fruit and cream or jam and cream.
